Introduction
The Impersonate feature allows system admins to interact with their Kepion environment as if they were a different user. For example, a system admin might want to test if they have properly set up a user's access, permissions, and workflows. The system admin can impersonate that user to view the latter's exact Kepion instance.
Impersonate
1. From the right of the navigation bar, select your user icon in the top navigation and then Impersonate.
2. For the user you wish to impersonate, select their user type from the Type drop-down and enter their Name (name or email).
Identity Provider User: Impersonate a user authenticated with an identity provider.
Azure User: Impersonate a user authenticated with Azure.
Windows User: Impersonate a user authenticated with Windows.
Custom: Impersonate a non-domain user (e.g., a test user created in Kepion).
3. Select OK.
You should see the impersonated user's context of Kepion.
Tip: You can impersonate a different user by selecting your user icon and then Impersonate.
Stop impersonation
1. From the right of the navigation bar, select your user icon.
2. Select Stop Impersonation.
You should see Kepion from your context.
