Introduction
Multifactor authentication (MFA) is a crucial security measure for protecting your organization. When signing in to Kepion using Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), MFA is required. This guide walks you through setting up your account with the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Before you start
For a smoother setup, download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone beforehand.
Set up the Microsoft Authenticator app
Step 1: Sign in to Kepion
- On the Kepion sign-in page, select Azure.
Step 2: Select or enter your account
- Choose your Microsoft Entra ID account or enter your credentials.
Step 3: Respond to the Action Required prompt
- When prompted, click Next.
Step 4: Install and open the Authenticator app
- If you haven’t already, download and install Microsoft Authenticator on your phone.
- Open the app and return to your laptop. Click Next.
Step 5: Begin account setup
- Click Next to start the setup process.
Step 6: Scan the QR code
- A QR code will appear on your laptop screen.
- Open the Authenticator app on your phone, tap the Scan QR Code button, and scan the code.
- After scanning, return to your laptop and click Next.
Step 7: Enter the verification code
- Once the app is connected to your account, a verification code will appear on your laptop.
- Enter this code in the Authenticator app on your phone when prompted.
Step 8: Approve the notification
- After entering the code, your laptop screen will confirm that the notification was approved.
- Click Next.
Step 9: Confirmation and completion
- A success message will appear, confirming that MFA setup is complete.
- Click Done to finish.
Final step: Access Kepion
- You will be automatically redirected to the Kepion landing page.
