Service identity security requirements

Introduction

This article explains the requirements your Kepion Service Identity must meet before installing Kepion.

Requirements

• Setup user must have administrator privileges on Web Server machine
• Setup user must have administrator privileges on SQL Server machine
• SSAS Service Identity must have access privilege on SQL Server machine with either:
  • SysAdmin on SQL machine.
  • The following permissions:
    • ALTER TRACE
    • CONNECT SQL
    • VIEW ANY DATABASE
• Kepion Service Identity must have access privilege on SQL Server machine with either:
  • SysAdmin on SQL machine.
  • The following roles:
    • dbcreator on SQL Server
    • db_owner of all Kepion databases
• Kepion Service Identity must have administrator privilege on SSAS machine.
