Filter Display
Filter Display component allows you to display different filter properties on a Dashboard if they have been setup in the Form.
Similar to Filter component, you’ll need to select the Form first, then select from the available Filter Display within the Form.
You can click the settings icon on the right side of the floating menu for configure the mode of the filter display. By default, it is set to Attribute.
You can also set it to Image Link if the filter display contains URLs to images. Below is an example of a Filter Display set to the Image Link mode.
Image Component
If you need other shapes or components, we can import an image from your local machine. Click the button to setup the image.
In the Image window, you can either select an already-imported picture, or import a new one from your local machine by clicking Import on the bottom-left.
Right-click on the picture, you can select how you want the image fill the defined area: Stretch None, Stretch, Fit, or Fill.
In a Dashboard, an image is more than a static picture. Click on the settings icon to bring up the configuration window. Here, you can make the image link to an Action, a URL, or a page within the same Dashboard.
Text Component
You use Text components to display text in a Dashboard.
Tip: To get rectangular blocks, you can use a text box and fill it in with color.
Click the settings icon to configure more settings for the Text component.
LINK
Text components can be used as links too. By default, it’s set to be None, however you can set it to an Action, a URL, or a page within the Dashboard.
FORMAT
You can change the hover-on color of the text if a LINK is enabled/configured.
Text Variables
Text Variable can be used to show system information in a customized formatted way. The following variables are supported in Dashboard Text Component:
- ${user}: Replace this variable with the currently logged in user
- ${plan}: Replace this variable with the name of the plan
- ${submission}: Replace this variable with the name of the submission
- ${page}: Replace this variable with the current dashboard page context
Using a Text Variable is easy, simply enter the variable into the text component and format the variable text as you’d like it.
Note: When formatting a Text Variable, ensure the format is the same across the entire variable, otherwise the Text Variable may not be recognized correctly.
Exiting out of the edit mode for the text component, the variable should dynamically update with the system information.
Rule Component
You can configure one or more SQL Rules to run independently on a Dashboard by using the Dashboard Rule Component.
Each Dashboard Rule Component can be associated with its own action button, SQL rule, and execution behavior. The configurable behaviors include:
- Rule: You can select from all the SQL Model Rules within the application.
- Form: Select a Form from the current Dashboard page if the Rule requires user input on a Form. It's not required to tie a Dashboard Rule to a Form. You can leave it blank if not needed.
- Auto Close: Checking this option will cause the execution window to close on Rule completion.
- Auto Run: Checking this option will cause the Rule to run automatically when users Post the plan.
- Clear Form: Checking this option will cause the associated Form to clear all changes on Rule completion.
- Preserve Parameter: Checking this option will preserve rule parameters between each run of the Dashboard Rule Component.
Business users of the Dashboard can click on the Dashboard Rule component and use the Rule Execution window to enter parameters and view results.
Note: Only business users with the Advanced Contributor role will be able to perform this action.
Menu Component
Menu components can be added to a Dashboard to create quick navigation within the Dashboard. Right-click in the Dashboard editor and click the Add Menu option.
Click on the settings icon to configure the Menu component.
MENU
Configure the Menu component by including the pages that you want to make available in the menu component.
VISIBILITY ON PAGE
You can also control which pages will have the Menu component visible by configuring the VISIBILITY ON PAGE.
Use the PREVIEW tab to view your changes.
