Introduction
The Advanced Settings menu in the Form Editor can be accessed by selecting the Settings icon in the ribbon of the GENERAL tab.
Settings
The following options are available in the Advanced Settings menu:

Setting | Description |
---|---|
Row aggregate indicator | When checked, the selected color will be used to highlight an entire row when containing a non-leaf member on the row axis. |
Input cell and annotation indicator | When checked, all available input/annotation cells will be highlighted with the selected color. |
Drop-down indicator | When checked, all drop-down cells that are available for input on the Form will be highlighted with the selected color. |
Alternate row color | When checked, all even rows on the Form will use the first color option and odd rows will use the second color option. |
Increase and decrease color | When checked, numbers that increase on refresh will be highlighted with the first color option, while all numbers that decrease will use the second highlighted color. |
Show grids on row | When checked, displays gridlines in the row axis region of the Form. |
Show grids on column | When checked, displays gridlines in the column axis region of the Form. |
Show grids on data | When checked, displays gridlines in the data region of the Form. |
Show grids on corner | When checked, displays gridlines in the corner of the Form between the row and column axis. |
Show borders | When checked, displays a border around the edge of the Form. |
Red for negative numbers | When checked, negative values will be colored red. |
Bold parent members on row | Similar to the row aggregate indicator, instead of highlighting the entire row, the data will be bolded. |
Hide spreadsheet headers | When checked, all spreadsheet headers on the Form will be hidden. |
Auto merge rows | When checked, row axis members with the same value will be auto-merged to Form continuous cells, when possible. |
Auto merge columns |
When checked, column axis members with the same value will be auto-merged to Form continuous cells, when possible. |
Enable expand and collapse | When checked, hierarchy members along row and column axes can be expanded and collapsed. Click here for more information. |
Preserve user expanded and collapsed rows | When checked, expanded or collapsed hierarchy members along the rows won't reset when the Form is refreshed. Click here for more information. |
Preserve user expanded and collapsed columns | When checked, expanded or collapsed hierarchy members along the columns won't reset when the Form is refreshed. Click here for more information. |
Include all writeable to change list | When checked, all members within the writeable region will automatically be added to the change list. |
Managed Formula | This is an advanced option that will translate formulas from spreadsheet coordinate space into MDX tuples. |
Query includes annotation and text cells | When checked, annotations will be supported on the Form. For large Forms, it is advised to have this property unchecked for performance considerations. |
Smart Refresh | When checked, if a data change is detected within a Dashboard App, selecting this Form will trigger an automatic refresh. |
Override SSAS format | When checked, the formatting applied on the Form will override any formatting applied by SSAS. |
Discard user formula | When checked, submissions will automatically discard user-entered formulas upon saving. This feature is useful when managing multiple users who are inputting on the same slice of data, as it prevents formulas from being inconsistent between the users. |
Auto height | When checked, rows will automatically adjust their height the fit the content in the largest cell. |
