Introduction
The Module Restriction node allows system admins and application admins to restrict access to sections of the Administrator and Modeler modules by users, roles, and groups. The member must have access to these modules for the restrictions to apply.

Navigation
Follow the instructions below to go to the Module Restriction node.
1. Go to Administrator and select an application.
2. Go to Module Restriction using the left navigation.
2. Select a user, group, or role from the Configure dropdown.

Manage module restrictions
Module restrictions determine which sections of the Administrator or Modeler module a user, group, or role can access. For each section, you can assign View or Edit access, or grant Full Access to the entire module.
| Access level | Description |
|---|---|
| Full Access | Allows access to view and edit all sections of the module. |
| View | Allows access to view the selected section, but not make changes. |
| Edit | Allows access to view and edit the selected section. |
Default access
Some system roles have full access to a module by default:
- Members of the Administrator system role have Full Access to the Administrator module.
- Members of the Application Modeler system role have Full Access to the Modeler module.
When you assign View or Edit access to individual sections, Full Access is disabled. The member can then access only the sections explicitly assigned View or Edit access. Unselected sections are not accessible.
Restrictions configured for a role or group are inherited by its members.
