Happy (belated) New Year! It's been a few months since we published release notes, so we'd like to highlight a few important product updates and fixes.
[Update] User authentication documentation
We have made structural updates to our user authentication documentation:
- Authentication and Active Directory Options Overview
- Windows authentication
- ADFS authentication
- Azure AD authentication
The content remains mostly the same. We mainly shifted it around, so it’s easier to follow. We would like to highlight the additional instructions regarding the AuthTimeoutInHours key. It controls the duration of a user sign-in session. By default, when no value is set here, or when it is set to 0, the system will default to 168 hours (i.e., 1 week). Consider setting the value to 1+ for a custom setting.
By default, the [dbo].[Authentication] table has only the AuthMode key. How to insert the AuthTimeoutinHours key in your table has been included in the individual integration guides (excluding the overview) linked above.
[Update] Incorrect NULL values in data partitions
Before a recent update, Kepion did not display a warning or error sign for incorrect NULL values (excludes Value and Comment columns) in data partitions. We’ve added a red error icon to signal incorrect NULL values; finding these errors should be easier than before.
[Update] Impersonate functionality updated for User and Azure User types
Some users have reported issues impersonating with different user types. We have fixed these issues, so impersonating with either UPN (email as username) or Domain\User should now work error-free.
[Help] Data import FAQ
We’ve recently received support tickets regarding data import issues. As immediate, one-to-one assistance isn’t always possible, we've created documentation to help you fix common data import errors on your own. Refer to the article if you ever hit a snag while importing data into Kepion.
Here’s a quick rundown of what we covered above:
- Updated user authentication documentation
- Error icon added for incorrect NULL values in data partitions
- Fixes to impersonate functionality
- Data import FAQ
